READ-ONLY
Autonomous Multi-Step Enterprise Agent Deployment IND-CAP-02 (emerging)

Measures transition from human-in-the-loop copilot prompts to bounded multi-step autonomous execution in production enterprise workflows.

Latest (October 2026): Production deployments remain heavily concentrated in bounded coding, tier-1 support triage, and document synthesis; unconstrained decision authority remains rare outside narrow sandboxes.
Caveat: Vendor benchmark scores on SWE-bench/OSWorld do not equal error-free autonomous enterprise operation.
Institutional & Statutory Workforce Adaptation Lag IND-GOV-03 (watch)

Tracks legislative, educational, and corporate governance responses to cognitive task displacement.

Latest (Q3 2026): Active policy debate and advisory commissions proliferate, but concrete retraining safety nets or statutory guardrails on junior workforce displacement remain minimal.
Caveat: Distinguish proposed bills and committee hearings from enacted law.
Entry-Level Knowledge Work Task Substitution Watch IND-LABOR-01 (structured)

Tracks the ratio of junior/entry-level hiring requisitions to AI workflow delegation in software, legal, financial analysis, and customer operations.

Latest (Q3 2026): Multiple large employers cited AI automation alongside junior hiring reductions, while aggregate BLS professional employment shows slower entry-level intake but mixed causal attribution.
Caveat: Do not treat corporate layoff press releases as independent proof that AI replaced every eliminated role.
